    Do you want to learn how to crochet a Holiday Napkin Ring? Here you will learn how to do it step by step.

    Size: 6″ circumference, 0.75″ wide

    Abbreviations

    Note: * – Repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times indicated. This repeat will contain of multiple instructions.
    () – Repeat the instructions between the parentheses the number of times indicated.
    [] – at the end of the row – the total number of stitches

    NAPKIN RING

    R1: Using Cream color : chain 23, beginning 2nd chain from hook; 1 single crochet in each across [22]

    R2: chain 1, skip first stitch, 2 single crochet in next stitch, *skip next stitch, 2 single crochet in next stitch**, repeat from * to ** across [22]

    R3: repeat R2, finish off, weave in ends.

    Whipstitch two ends together to form a tube. Or if you prefer you can add a small button or circle of velcro to make it easier to put it on the napkins.

    Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in green (Worsted Weight Cotton)
    Hook: 4.0 mm (G)

    Special Stitch

    Picot Stitch: chain 2, work 1 slip stitch into the second chain from the hook

    Special Note: Count the chain 1 (in between the 2 single crochet stitch) in R1 as a stitch and work into it in R2.

    Make:  2, or 3 (depending on how you want yours to look!)

    R1: Ch 9; skip 1 chain, work 2 stitch in next chain, 1 half double crochet in the next ch, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 tr in the next chain, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 half double crochet in the next chain, (1 stitch, chain 1, 1 single crochet) in the end chain, working back up along the other side of the chain row work 1 half double crochet in the next chain, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 tr in the next chain, 1 double crochet in the next chain, 1 half double crochet in the next chain, 1 single crochet in the next chain [18]

    (Note: remember you count the chain 1 (located between the 2 single crochet stitchs) as a stitch!)

    R2: 1 Slip stitch in the first stitch, 1 slip stitch in the next stitch, 1 picot st (see special stitch above). *Work 1 slip stitch in each of the next 3 stitchs, work 1 picot stitch.** Rep from * to ** one more time.  Work 1 slip stitch in each of the next 2 stitchs, work 1 picot stitch. Work 1 slip stitch in each of the next 2 stitchs, work 1 picot st. Rep from * to ** 2 more times. Slip stitch to the intial slip stitch to finish off. Weave in ends.

    Make: 3

    R1: In a Magic Ring chain 1 and work 5 single crochet. Slip stitch to chain 1 to join and finish off with an invisible join and weave in ends.
