This crochet Converse All Star Baby Booties that we are making is for 0-3 months and you will need a 3.75mm hook with medium weight yarn (size 4 which is basic yarn) in three diferent colors, Black, White and any other color you want. We also need a tapestry needle for hidden your yarn, preference for not sharp tip. You also need a stitch marker.
So to start, you need to know that the length of the sole from top to bottom at the midpoint is measuring 3.5 inches. We are going to make a slip knot now or something similar to.
You just put the hook in between the yarn, and then you twist around just once. This is for you to start your foundational chain for the sole. Make 13 chains, to make a chain all you need to do is just yarn over and pull through the single loop on your crochet hook. In the next step you need to move to the third chain from the hook.
Holding this loop the first chain is beside that loop, count three chains and insert the hook in the third one. Make three double crochet stitches, and to make a double crochet stitch the first thing you need to do is insert your hook into that third chain, yarn over again, and then pull the yarn throught that chain. Now you have three loops on the crochet hook.
You yarn over and then pull this one that you yarning over throught two loops, and then you’ll be left with two loop on you crochet hook. This modality allows you to work and train your skills, vary in types, sizes and models.
